About Michelle
Michelle Andre is a Canadian-German photographer and artist based on the Sunshine Coast, BC.
Her work is inspired by her deep love for and fascination of the ocean and the Natural World.
With her work, she aims to create in others a more profound appreciation of our fragile ecosystems and wildlife.
In May 2022, she successfully participated in the “Ebb and Flow” exhibition at the Gallery George in Vancouver, BC with ocean themed photography. As a member of the Gibsons Public Art Gallery she participates in their exhibitions as well.
Michelle has earned a Bachelor of Multimedia Arts Degree with the SAE Institute Munich in cooperation with the Middlesex University London.
She loves exploring remote natural places and watching wildlife. Her photos were taken mainly in Australia, the Pacific North West, her “happy place” Tofino on Vancouver Island, and of course at her home on the Sunshine Coast, where she lives with her partner and her two beloved dogs Kiya and Bunji.
In her spare time she loves outrigger canoeing, dog walking, hiking and volunteering for PODS (Pender Harbour Ocean Discovering Station), supporting ecosystem monitoring in the field.
